Live Production Manager
One of our clients in the poultry industry is seeking a Live Production Manager to support a facility in Southeast Maryland. This person will be responsible for driving operational excellence across feed, hatchery, and grow-out operations by leading teams, partnering with contract growers and cross-functional stakeholders, and ensuring animal welfare, biosecurity, regulatory compliance, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Title: Live Production Manager
Location: Greater Salisbury, MD (relocation available)
Compensation: $125,000-$180,000 + bonus
Shift: 1st
Responsibilities of the Live Production Manager:
* Lead end-to-end live production operations across feed, hatchery, and grow-out functions to achieve production, quality, animal welfare, and financial performance goals.
* Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and cost reduction initiatives through data analysis, performance management, and strategic planning.
* Partner with feed mill, hatchery, veterinary, and field leadership teams to optimize flock health, feed utilization, hatchability, and overall production results.
* Develop, mentor, and manage production teams, service technicians, and contract growers while fostering accountability, engagement, and talent growth.
* Ensure compliance with biosecurity, animal welfare, environmental, safety, and regulatory standards while supporting audits, inspections, and emergency response efforts.
Qualifications:
* 8+ years of progressive leadership experience within poultry production operations.
* Strong technical knowledge of poultry production systems, flock health, nutrition management, animal welfare, and operational best practices.
* Proven expertise overseeing feed mill, hatchery, and grow-out operations in a large-scale production environment.
* Demonstrated success leading multi-site operations, cross-functional teams, and contract grower partnerships.
* Bachelor's degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science, Agriculture, Business, or a related discipline required; advanced degree preferred.
