Summary:
A global financial services organization is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Supplier Management to lead its supplier oversight function. This role is critical to the development and execution of enterprise-wide supplier management strategies, ensuring performance, compliance, and risk mitigation across a diverse supplier base. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in supplier lifecycle management, particularly within regulated industries, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Supplier Management team, acting as the central point for supplier relationship and performance oversight.
  • Develop and implement strategic supplier management processes and standards.
  • Establish frameworks for supplier performance reviews and continuous monitoring.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and other departments to align supplier practices with company standards.
  • Oversee supplier onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and contractual obligations.
  • Define and guide the development of service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Provide training and support on supplier management tools and processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and stay current on industry trends.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Develop executive-level reporting on supplier performance and risk.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 8-12 years of experience in supplier lifecycle management, preferably in a regulated industry such as banking.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and implementing supplier management programs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Experience managing complex supplier relationships and contracts.
  • Familiarity with vendor management tools (e.g., Coupa) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of banking and technology services is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
