Salary: $75,000 - $100,000
A global manufacturer is seeking an EHS Engineer to lead environmental compliance and sustainability efforts. This role focuses on environmental programs, ISO management systems, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
The EHS Engineer will be responsible for:
- Coordinate environmental programs and compliance for all site facilities.
- Serve as Environmental Management Representative (ISO 14001 & ISO 50001).
- Address issues related to air/water pollution, waste disposal, and public health.
- Interpret and analyze federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Lead projects to improve environmental footprint and support product initiatives.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and assessments to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Manage waste disposal documentation and submit required reports (e.g., stormwater, wastewater).
- Provide training and support to plant teams on environmental topics.
- Maintain compliance reporting for site and corporate leadership.
- Notify leadership of any reportable environmental incidents.
- Evaluate new operations/emissions for regulatory alignment.
- Respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies and public stakeholders.
- Support sustainability efforts, including carbon footprint reduction.
The EHS Engineer will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of environmental/EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA regulations, ISO 14001/50001.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local environmental laws.
- Project management experience preferred.
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work in a multinational environment.
