EHS Manager
Job Summary:
The EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations within a chemical manufacturing facility. This role plays a critical part in fostering a culture of safety, sustainability, and regulatory excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all EHS initiatives, policies, and procedures across the site.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulatory bodies.
- Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.
- Oversee hazardous materials handling, waste management, and chemical safety programs.
- Develop and deliver EHS training for employees and contractors.
- Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and leadership to integrate EHS into business processes.
- Serve as the primary contact for regulatory inspections and audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of EHS experience in chemical manufacturing or a similar high-risk industry.
- Strong knowledge of chemical safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) are a plus.
