A well-established manufacturing facility is seeking an Electrical Engineer - Plant Utilities to oversee the performance and reliability of critical utility systems, including power distribution, steam generation, and water systems. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment and enjoys solving complex problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain plant-wide electrical power distribution systems with a focus on safety, reliability, and compliance.
- Oversee operations of boilers, compressed air, and other utility systems.
- Lead projects to improve efficiency, sustainability, and system reliability.
- Develop and manage the annual utilities budget.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA, OSHA, EPA, and local codes.
- Support environmental, health, and safety initiatives across utility systems.
- Use AutoCAD to interpret and update engineering drawings.
- Respond to facility needs with urgency while balancing long-term planning.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
Required Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of electrical power distribution and utility systems.
- Familiarity with steam boilers, compressed air, chilled water, and related infrastructure.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Adaptability and a proactive, service-oriented mindset.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in utilities, facilities, or power systems (industrial/manufacturing preferred).
