Food Safety Quality Assurance Manager
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to lead our QA team and ensure compliance with food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality objectives. This role is critical to maintaining the highest standards of product integrity and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance programs aligned with FDA, USDA, and HACCP guidelines.
- Oversee food safety audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Manage QA team performance, training, and development.
- Collaborate with production, R&D, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues.
- Monitor and analyze quality metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with GMPs, SQF/BRC, and other certification standards.
- Investigate and document non-conformances and customer complaints.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field.
- 5+ years of QA experience in food manufacturing; 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, FSMA, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SQF/BRC certification programs.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and quality management software.
- Continuous improvement mindset (Lean, Six Sigma a plus).
