Are you a strategic sourcing leader with deep experience in the chemical manufacturing industry? We are partnering with a growing global manufacturer seeking a Global Senior Sourcing Manager - Chemicals to lead strategic procurement initiatives across a complex portfolio of direct chemical raw materials and suppliers worldwide.
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced sourcing professional who can drive cost optimization, supplier performance, risk mitigation, and long-term procurement strategy within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for critical chemical raw materials and related categories.
- Lead supplier selection, negotiations, contract management, and supplier relationship strategies on a global scale.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives while ensuring supply continuity, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through proactive supplier management and market intelligence.
- Partner closely with Operations, Manufacturing, R&D, Quality, Finance, and Commercial teams to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
- Analyze commodity markets, pricing trends, and industry developments to support procurement decisions.
- Establish key supplier performance metrics and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support inventory optimization, working capital initiatives, and long-range strategic planning.
- Mentor and develop sourcing team members while fostering a high-performance procurement culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- 7+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience within the chemical manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrated success sourcing chemical raw materials on a regional or global scale.
- Strong supplier negotiation and contract management experience.
- Experience managing complex supplier networks and international sourcing programs.
- Proven ability to drive measurable cost savings and operational improvements.
- Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Preferred Experience
- Direct sourcing experience with categories such as glycols, amines, silicones, polyacrylamides, solvents, surfactants, specialty additives, or other industrial chemicals.
- Experience navigating global supplier markets and international procurement strategies.
