Our client is a market‑leading Logistics Service Provider in Belgium, recognised for operational excellence, customer-centric solutions, and a strong commitment to innovation and sustainable logistics. With an extensive European network and ambitious expansion plans, they are seeking a strategic and commercially driven Head of Sales to lead their commercial organisation across Belgium and broader European markets.

Role Overview

As Head of Sales, you will define and execute the commercial strategy to accelerate revenue growth, strengthen key partnerships, and expand the company's footprint across core logistics segments (including transport, warehousing, distribution, and value‑added services). You will lead and develop a high‑performing sales team, work closely with operational and strategic teams, and act as a trusted advisor to both customers and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a forward‑looking sales strategy aligned with business objectives and market developments.
  • Lead, mentor, and empower the sales organisation to exceed commercial targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities across sectors such as retail, FMCG, manufacturing, and e‑commerce.
  • Drive strategic account management and deepen long‑term customer relationships.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing dynamics, and competitive activity to guide commercial decisions.
  • Partner closely with operations, customer service, marketing, and finance to ensure seamless delivery and alignment.
  • Present accurate sales forecasts, performance insights, and growth plans to the senior leadership team.
  • Lead digitalisation initiatives within the commercial function, including CRM excellence, data‑driven sales, and automation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role within logistics, supply chain, transport, or a closely related sector.
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and managing complex, multi‑stakeholder commercial cycles.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and customer management skills.
  • Strategic commercial thinker with a hands‑on, solution‑oriented approach.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch and/or French is a significant advantage.
  • Willingness to travel across Belgium and Europe as required.
