Human Resource Manager - Prosser, WA
Location: Prosser, Washington
Position Overview
A leading food & beverage manufacturing company is seeking a skilled and experienced Human Resource Manager to oversee HR operations at its Prosser, WA facility. This role is responsible for managing plant employees, recruitment, labor relations, safety programs, payroll, benefits, and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer union contracts and employee handbooks.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and staffing for hourly plant roles.
- Oversee payroll, benefits, and administrative budgets.
- Lead health and safety initiatives, audits, and training programs.
- Handle workers' compensation claims and OSHA compliance.
- Ensure training and development across all plant departments.
- Maintain document control and compliance with cGMPs.
- Supervise HR support staff and drive team performance.
- Coordinate employee events, recognition programs, and fundraisers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of HR experience.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Experience in recruitment and employment management preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
Reporting & Collaboration
- Reports directly to the Plant Manager.
- Works closely with plant staff, corporate HR, staffing agencies, and external vendors.
- May supervise HR Assistants or administrative support staff.
