Summary:
A leading national retailer seeks an Industrial Engineering Manger to join their team in the Greater Wilmington area to lead a team of Industrial Engineers to optimize processes and lead capital projects within a warehouse setting.
The Industrial Engineering Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Industrial Engineers, providing project leadership and prioritization to ensure timely, budget-compliant execution.
- Develop and maintain engineered labor standards through detailed time and motion studies, and establish best practices across job functions.
- Drive process improvements in distribution centers by testing and implementing new concepts, with a focus on ergonomic design and efficient material handling.
- Support capital projects through data-driven cost rationalization, work sampling, and cost/benefit analyses, presenting findings to senior leadership.
- Utilize project management tools to plan, coordinate, and deliver measurable results aligned with business goals.
- Advance business objectives by identifying opportunities for expense reduction and throughput improvement through work flow analysis and project implementation.
The Supply Chain Project Manager will have the following requirements and skill sets:
- B.S. degree in Engineering (Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading a team and/or managing a team with direct reports
- Distribution center/warehouse experience
- Strong project management, team management and leadership skills
