Injection Mold Manager
DSJ Global is currently partnered with a global automotive parts manufacturer who is looking to add a new Injection Mold Manager to their team in Chattanooga, TN. The Injection Mold Manager will be responsible for leading and optimizing injection mold manufacturing activities to meet safety, environmental, customer, and plant objectives while ensuring high operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with corporate HSE and energy standards across all injection operations.
- Coach, mentor, and develop shift leaders to maximize productivity and team efficiency.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance injection molding processes and reduce waste.
- Verify that manufactured parts meet all customer quality specifications and performance requirements.
- Support and drive plant-wide progress initiatives, promoting team engagement and accountability.
- Lead daily production meetings, adjust resources as needed, and ensure timely corrective actions.
- Participate in monthly unit reviews and help plan short- and mid-term operational strategies, including new product launches.
- Oversee internal organization of the injection area, ensuring effective workflow and operational discipline.
- Manage team performance, development, staffing, and overall culture aligned with departmental goals.
- Maintain high standards of equipment maintenance, cleanliness, and operational readiness in the injection area.
Requirements & Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of experience with engineering plastics or injection molding processes (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of quality systems and supply chain/flow management best practices.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage supervisors, technicians, and operators.
- Strong problem-solving, time management, and results-oriented mindset with a customer-focused approach.
