Responsibilities
- Develop procurement strategies for mass‑production products and manage end‑to‑end supply chain activities.
- Set and oversee department-wide QCDS targets (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Service).
- Lead strategic cost negotiations and manage key supplier relationships.
- Establish cost assessment standards and build mid‑ to long‑term supplier partnerships.
- Oversee supply-demand planning, inventory strategies, and cash‑flow optimization for long‑lead components.
- Manage and develop the procurement team, including goal setting, performance, and training.
- Standardize procurement processes, promote digital transformation, and ensure best‑practice knowledge sharing.
- Lead issue resolution during supply risks or delivery challenges.
Requirements
- Management or team‑lead experience in procurement/purchasing within manufacturing.
- Strong negotiation skills with solid contract and legal knowledge (e.g., Subcontract Act).
- Experience training team members and solving organizational or operational issues.
- Business‑level English and Japanese for communication and negotiations with overseas suppliers.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to design and execute procurement strategies.
- Preferred: experience in battery, electronics, or energy industries; experience with BPR or procurement IT systems; global sourcing background; involvement in cross‑department cost‑reduction projects.
- Strong communication skills, proactive mindset, and ability to adapt to fast‑changing environments.
