🎯 About the Role
As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of strategic maritime clients. You'll work closely with ship owners, operators, and managers to identify opportunities, deliver value, and build long-term partnerships.
This is a client-facing role that requires a strong commercial mindset, technical curiosity, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Drive profitable sales growth across your assigned customer portfolio
- Build and maintain strong, multilevel relationships with key accounts
- Identify and develop new business opportunities using internal tools and market insights
- Collaborate with technical sales and business development teams
- Plan and execute measurable sales activities to meet targets
- Leverage CRM and data tools to track performance and uncover growth opportunities
- Ensure accurate CRM data and proactive contract and credit management
- Align closely with internal teams including customer service, port engineers, and technical support
👤 What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in international B2B sales, ideally in a technical or maritime environment
- Strong commercial acumen and a customer-centric approach
- Background in marine engineering or sailing experience is a plus
- Confident negotiator with a track record of delivering results
- Self-motivated and organized, with excellent time management skills
- Fluent in English; Dutch and/or French is a strong advantage
- Based in or near Rotterdam or Antwerp, with flexibility to travel regionally
