DSJ Global is partnering with a major international logistics provider to appoint a Key Account Manager for its Dutch team to start in Spring. The company delivers end to end transport and supply chain solutions across a wide variety of industries and is continuing to expand its footprint across Europe. To support this growth, we are seeking a commercially driven professional who can strengthen relationships with strategic customers and develop long term account plans.

Role Overview

As Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of high value clients across the Netherlands. You will oversee customer satisfaction, identify new opportunities within existing accounts and ensure the successful coordination of services across multiple internal teams. This role is suited to someone with strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills and a proven ability to manage complex customer relationships within the logistics sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the commercial relationship with key customers, acting as the primary point of contact for all strategic matters.
  • Develop account plans that support both customer objectives and business growth targets.
  • Identify upsell and cross sell opportunities across transport, warehousing and integrated supply chain services.
  • Coordinate with operations, pricing, tender management and customer service teams to ensure high quality delivery.
  • Monitor service performance, lead regular business reviews and resolve any operational challenges.
  • Analyse account performance, market trends and customer needs to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support contract renewals, negotiations and long term commercial agreements.

Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience in key account management, business development or commercial roles within logistics, freight forwarding or supply chain services.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Commercially minded with good analytical abilities and a structured approach to account planning.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, customer focused environment.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch.
  • Based in the Netherlands and willing to travel for customer visits when required.
