Maintenance Training Manager needed for Leading Food and Beverage Manufacturer.

One of our leading food manufacturing clients is looking to bring on a strong training manager to guide and develop its maintenance department. This person will be a key member of the site leadership team, leading training and employee development initiatives across the facility to strengthen technical capabilities and support operational success.

Qualifications for the Maintenance Manager include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience with strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automated systems.
  • 2+ years of experience developing and delivering technical training programs and instructional materials for adult learners.
  • Proven ability to simplify complex maintenance concepts and convert them into clear, effective training content and standards.
  • Experience with competency assessments, skill matrices, job breakdown sheets, and other structured training tools preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and project management skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities for the Maintenance Manager include:

  • Develop, update, and deliver hands-on maintenance training programs that strengthen technician capabilities across mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
  • Coach and support maintenance teams on the shop floor, ensuring safe work practices, standard procedures, and technical skill development.
  • Create and maintain training materials, including job breakdown sheets, troubleshooting guides, videos, presentations, and other digital learning resources.
  • Lead onboarding, skills assessments, competency evaluations, and train-the-trainer programs to support workforce development.
  • Identify maintenance skill gaps and implement targeted training initiatives to improve equipment reliability and operational performance.
  • Partner with leadership, OEMs, and cross-functional teams while managing training platforms and continuous improvement initiatives.
