Your Role
As a Maintenance & Reliability Engineer, you will optimize the performance of production installations in terms of availability, cost, safety, and efficiency. You'll be the bridge between maintenance and production, helping to drive continuous improvement and long-term reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze maintenance and downtime data to identify and implement improvements.
- Increase reliability of production facilities while reducing costs and avoiding losses.
- Advise the Team Leader on maintenance strategies.
- Prepare and present weekly KPI reports.
- Coordinate maintenance processes and ensure alignment with best practices and standards.
- Lead operational projects on the shop floor.
- Develop and optimize maintenance plans in SAP using FMEA, RCM, RCA, etc.
- Apply reliability techniques such as FFI, redundancy calculations, and PF interval determination.
- Draft reliability metrics: MTBF, MTTF, MTTR, availability, failure rate (λ).
- Manage technical documentation (e.g., Meridian).
- Conduct annual maintenance evaluations using SAP data.
Your Profile
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical installations and process automation.
- Experience in maintenance and reliability engineering, ideally in food or pharma.
- Familiarity with HACCP, ISO 55000, NEN 3140/1010, and EHS standards.
Skills & Tools
- Proficient in SAP, Meridian, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset.
- Ability to visualize performance metrics and present insights clearly.
- Hands-on, proactive, and communicative-able to connect with technicians and production teams.
- Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are a plus for team integration.
Team & Culture
You'll work within a collaborative maintenance team of 35 professionals, including technicians, team leaders, and automation specialists. The environment is dynamic, with close interaction between shop floor and engineering. While you won't have direct reports initially, leadership potential is valued and could lead to future team management responsibilities.
