Mechanical Maintenance Team Lead (M/F/D)
Our client is a well-established international manufacturing business seeking a Mechanical Team Lead (m/f/d) to strengthen its maintenance function.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong maintenance professional who enjoys leading people, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring high equipment reliability within a production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a maintenance team of approximately 5 employees
- Plan, coordinate and prioritise day-to-day maintenance activities to maximise equipment uptime and operational reliability
- Manage resource allocation and ensure efficient execution of preventive and corrective maintenance work
- Support team development through training, coaching and knowledge sharing
- Drive root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions to recurring technical issues
- Contribute to the optimisation of maintenance strategies, processes and technical standards
- Coordinate activities with internal stakeholders and external contractors
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and asset information within the CMMS system
- Promote a strong safety, accountability and continuous improvement culture
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality and regulatory requirements
- Participate in an on-call rota as required
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent qualification
- Several years of experience within industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment
- Previous leadership, supervisory or team coordination experience
- Strong understanding of maintenance best practices, asset reliability, equipment criticality and health & safety requirements
- Experience planning and prioritising maintenance activities in a fast-paced production environment
- Structured, solution-oriented approach with strong organisational skills
- Proven ability to develop team capability and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience using CMMS and maintenance planning systems
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
