Operations Manager
DSJ Global is partnered with a leading manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced operations leader to oversee plant production and drive operational excellence. This role is responsible for leading production teams, developing operational strategy, managing budgets, improving performance metrics, and ensuring a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of production operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives are achieved.
- Drive operational strategies that support business growth and long-term manufacturing goals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, safety standards, and applicable government requirements.
- Develop, monitor, and manage departmental budgets, including both fixed and variable expenses.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development for production management and supervisory teams.
- Partner closely with maintenance, quality, safety, engineering, and other departments to achieve operational objectives.
- Lead plant-wide continuous improvement efforts utilizing Lean manufacturing and operational excellence principles.
- Oversee manufacturing performance and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize processes.
- Participate as a key member of the site leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and overall business performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
- Proven experience leading large production teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence methodologies.
- Experience driving change management, process optimization, and production performance improvements.
- Strong leadership, coaching, employee development, and team-building skills.
