Location: 1 hour from Fort Meyes, FL

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Organization & Talent Development Manager to lead key talent and organizational development initiatives across the business. This individual will partner closely with senior leadership to strengthen the organization's leadership pipeline, build succession plans, enhance employee development, and implement scalable training and development programs.

This is a highly visible role requiring a strategic thinker who can translate business needs into practical talent solutions. The Organization & Talent Development Manager will also lead a team of three direct reports, including a Manager, and will play an important role in shaping the organization's broader talent strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the organization's succession planning strategy, including identification and development of high-potential talent and critical-role successors.
  • Partner directly with senior and executive leadership to assess organizational and talent needs and develop strategies aligned with business priorities.
  • Lead the design and execution of enterprise-wide training, leadership development, and professional development programs.
  • Establish consistent talent development processes, tools, and frameworks across the organization.
  • Partner with business and HR leaders to identify leadership capability gaps and create targeted development solutions.
  • Support talent reviews and succession discussions, providing senior leaders with actionable insights around organizational capabilities and future talent needs.
  • Develop programs focused on strengthening the organization's leadership pipeline and internal mobility.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of talent and development initiatives and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Lead and develop a team of three direct reports, including a people manager, setting priorities and ensuring effective execution of organizational and talent development initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted talent advisor to senior leaders throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR and business leadership to ensure talent programs support both short-term operational priorities and long-term organizational goals.
  • Travel domestically up to 25% to support business locations, leadership teams, and organizational initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in organizational development, talent development, talent management, leadership development, or a closely related corporate HR function.
  • Must have substantial corporate/in-house experience developing and implementing talent and organizational development programs within a business environment.
  • Experience gained primarily within academia or external consulting without significant in-house corporate experience will not meet the requirements of this position.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and leading succession planning and talent review processes.
  • Strong experience designing and implementing training, leadership development, and employee development programs.
  • Ability to balance strategic program development with hands-on execution in a complex corporate environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically up to 25%.

Ideal Background

The ideal candidate will have spent their career within corporate organizational development, talent management, or talent development functions and will have experience supporting a complex, multi-site organization. They should be comfortable operating at both the strategic and tactical levels, from advising senior executives on succession and leadership capability to ensuring development programs are effectively implemented throughout the organization.

They will be a strong people leader who can manage an experienced team while continuing to personally drive high-impact talent initiatives.
