A well‑established, privately held food and consumer goods organization is seeking a Senior Operations Leader to oversee a high‑volume manufacturing and distribution operation supporting a large national customer base.

This is a hands‑on, visible leadership role with full responsibility for site performance, team development, and operational execution. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in fast‑paced environments, values accountability, and knows how to lead large teams while driving consistent output and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all day‑to‑day operations for a high‑throughput manufacturing and distribution facility
  • Own site performance across safety, quality, service levels, labor efficiency, and cost
  • Build, develop, and hold accountable frontline leadership and hourly teams
  • Establish operational standards, production rhythms, and performance expectations
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, throughput, and waste reduction
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
  • Manage labor planning, operational budgets, and performance reporting

Ideal Background

  • Experience leading operations in food, beverage, confectionery, or consumer packaged goods
  • Proven success managing large, high‑volume teams in fast‑moving environments
  • Track record of improving productivity, safety performance, and employee engagement
  • Strong people leader with a direct, accountable leadership style
  • Comfortable working in a privately held, entrepreneurial organization
  • Background overseeing both manufacturing and distribution/warehouse operations is a plus
