Plant Operations Manager

We are partnered with a respected manufacturer in the industrial sector, known for its focus on operational discipline, product consistency, and continuous improvement. We are seeking a Plant Manager to lead operations at a U.S.-based manufacturing facility. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant performance, including production, materials management, procurement, customer service, and technical infrastructure. The Plant Manager will work closely with executive leadership to ensure alignment with strategic objectives related to cost, quality, delivery, and team development.

The Plant Manager will be responsible for:

  • Providing leadership across production, materials, purchasing, customer service, and other functions to ensure integrated and efficient operations.
  • Driving a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
  • Managing daily production activities to meet output targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Overseeing inventory control, material flow, and procurement strategies to support production schedules.
  • Partnering with technology teams to ensure systems infrastructure and ERP platforms support operational needs.
  • Leading initiatives to improve automation, reduce waste, and enhance overall plant performance.
  • Ensuring customer service teams are responsive and aligned with production capabilities.
  • Collaborating with commercial teams to meet customer expectations and delivery timelines.
  • Developing supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with purchasing policies.
  • Monitoring and improving key performance indicators such as throughput, scrap rates, and delivery performance.

The Plant Manager will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, ideally in plastic injection molding or similar high-volume environments.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive operational excellence.
