Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering activities related to the enhancement, control, and assessment of production processes, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure that all manufacturing operations comply with established quality systems, regulatory requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Develop and refine process simulations to support technology transfer, scale‑up efforts, and effective implementation of new or improved chemical processes.
  • Guide the design, optimization, and upkeep of plant systems, equipment, and structural components essential to safe and efficient production.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at reducing operational costs, shortening production cycle times, and enhancing product yield and quality across multiple processes.
  • Oversee and document technology transfer efforts, including drafting formal technical protocols, validation strategies, and comprehensive reports that support project objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to support the specification, installation, and integration of new equipment, including participation in digital transformation projects across the site.
  • Partner with production, quality control, and quality assurance teams to maintain strong oversight and continuous control of existing operational processes.
  • Serve as a technical troubleshooting resource, providing expert problem‑solving support and facilitating the evaluation of emerging trends and technologies through cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Contribute to long‑term planning initiatives aimed at improving production consistency, strengthening safety systems, and expanding technical capabilities across the facility.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to wear and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including items such as hard hats, protective eyewear, gloves, and safety footwear, depending on operational needs.
  • Comfort working in environments that may require movement between office, laboratory, and manufacturing areas.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of four years of experience working in chemical manufacturing or a closely aligned processing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical capabilities and demonstrated scientific problem‑solving skills.
  • Deep understanding of core chemical engineering principles and relevant industry standards.
  • Experience with process simulation software; proficiency in tools such as ChemCAD or Dynochem is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of process control methodologies and automated production systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety standards, chemical handling regulations, and risk mitigation practices.
  • Familiarity with statistical and engineering software such as Minitab and AutoCAD.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, coordinate cross‑functional efforts, and guide complex operational improvements.
