Are you an experienced PMO leader who thrives in complex, high‑tech engineering environments? An established manufacturing organization in the Aerospace sector is seeking a Senior Manager, Program Management Office (PMO) to lead its centralized PMO, oversee a strategic project portfolio, and drive best‑in‑class program execution.

This is a high‑impact, cross‑functional leadership role responsible for governance, portfolio performance, team leadership, and the successful delivery of major product development programs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional PMO team delivering a full portfolio of engineering and product development projects.
  • Own PMO governance, standardization, methodologies, and phase-gate compliance.
  • Develop and run training programs to institutionalize PM best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee dashboards, KPI tracking, portfolio analytics, and performance reporting.
  • Manage major strategic projects with significant business impact.
  • Partner with engineering, product development, sales, and executive leadership to define requirements and ensure alignment across the organization.
  • Drive resource planning, budgeting, risk management, and corrective action across programs.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across engineering, operations, supply chain, and customer-facing teams.
  • Promote structured change management methodologies and lead the change control process.
  • Support business case development, ROI analysis, and evaluation of new program opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 7-10+ years of combined engineering and program management experience within product development/manufacturing environments.
  • PMP® certification required.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Project, Project Online/Server, and Power BI dashboards.
  • Experience leading or supporting major ERP implementations (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, IFS, etc.) is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of engineering development processes, configuration management, and cross-functional product lifecycle workflows.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in aerospace, power systems, gas turbines, fuel systems, controls, or similar engineering-driven industries is a plus.
