The Process Shift Supervisor will be responsible for…

  • Leading shift operations involved in the processing and production of sugar products while promoting a strong culture of safety and quality
  • Supervising, coaching, and developing hourly production personnel to optimize productivity and operational performance
  • Planning, organizing, and directing daily processing activities to meet production goals
  • Monitoring production processes, analyzing performance metrics, and addressing operational issues as they arise
  • Ensuring compliance with quality standards, operating procedures, and safety programs
  • Supporting employee training and cross-functional workforce development initiatives
  • Driving continuous improvement activities, including Lean principles, root cause analysis, and KPI-based performance improvements
  • Coordinating with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to maximize equipment reliability and plant performance
  • Managing preventative maintenance efforts and ensuring adequate production supplies are available
  • Collaborating with other supervisors to maintain smooth shift transitions and effective workforce scheduling

The Process Shift Supervisor should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
  • Proven supervisory experience within a manufacturing, processing, or industrial production environment
  • 5-10 years of process operations experience preferred
  • Maintenance experience preferred, with a willingness to learn equipment and reliability practices
  • Experience improving safety, quality, and productivity performance metrics
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Root Cause Analysis
