- Leading shift operations involved in the processing and production of sugar products while promoting a strong culture of safety and quality
- Supervising, coaching, and developing hourly production personnel to optimize productivity and operational performance
- Planning, organizing, and directing daily processing activities to meet production goals
- Monitoring production processes, analyzing performance metrics, and addressing operational issues as they arise
- Ensuring compliance with quality standards, operating procedures, and safety programs
- Supporting employee training and cross-functional workforce development initiatives
- Driving continuous improvement activities, including Lean principles, root cause analysis, and KPI-based performance improvements
- Coordinating with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to maximize equipment reliability and plant performance
- Managing preventative maintenance efforts and ensuring adequate production supplies are available
- Collaborating with other supervisors to maintain smooth shift transitions and effective workforce scheduling
The Process Shift Supervisor should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
- Proven supervisory experience within a manufacturing, processing, or industrial production environment
- 5-10 years of process operations experience preferred
- Maintenance experience preferred, with a willingness to learn equipment and reliability practices
- Experience improving safety, quality, and productivity performance metrics
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Root Cause Analysis
