Procurement Manager - IT Services (M/F/D)
Role Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Procurement Manager to lead IT services procurement for a key client in the software industry. Based in Koblenz, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement life cycle, ensuring optimal vendor performance, cost efficiency, and alignment with the client's technology road-map.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for IT services including software development, cloud services, managed services, and consulting.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to ensure best value and service quality.
- Manage supplier relationships and performance through KPIs and SLAs.
Contract & Risk Management
- Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and compliance reviews.
- Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and client-specific procurement policies.
- Mitigate risks related to data security, service continuity, and vendor reliability.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with client stakeholders including IT, finance, and legal teams to understand requirements and align procurement strategies.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the client, providing market insights and procurement best practices.
Cost Optimisation & Reporting
- Drive cost savings initiatives and value creation through strategic procurement.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and provide regular reporting on spend, savings, and supplier performance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, IT, or related field; Master's preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT procurement, ideally within the software or technology sector.
- Strong understanding of IT service categories and vendor ecosystems.
- Proven negotiation and contract management skills.
- Fluent in English; German language proficiency is a strong advantage.
- Experience working in a client-facing or consultancy role is desirable.
