Overview
A leading manufacturing organization is seeking a Procurement Manager to serve as the key link between centralized procurement and plant operations. This role will lead sourcing initiatives, oversee procurement activities for both direct and indirect materials and services, and drive cost savings, supplier performance, and operational excellence within a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead procurement activities supporting manufacturing operations and ensuring timely, cost-effective results.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies across assigned spend categories.
- Analyze spend data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Negotiate contracts, supplier agreements, and commercial terms.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to an on-site procurement team.
- Manage supplier performance, strategic relationships, and continuous improvement programs.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to support sourcing projects, RFIs, RFPs, supplier evaluations, and business cases.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, sustainability goals, and procurement best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field.
- 8+ years of procurement, sourcing, purchasing, or related business experience.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive results in a matrixed organization.
- Experience with ERP systems and procurement technologies preferred.
