We are partnering with a rapidly growing advanced manufacturing organization that is developing and scaling next-generation production technologies for highly complex metal components used in demanding aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. As a Production Development Supervisor, you will serve as a key leader at the intersection of manufacturing operations and process development. You will lead a team of technicians, machinists, and manufacturing personnel while driving process improvements, operational excellence, and production readiness. This role combines people leadership, hands-on manufacturing expertise, and continuous improvement responsibilities in a dynamic production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of technicians, machinists, and manufacturing personnel supporting complex production and post-processing operations.
- Establish daily and weekly priorities to meet production schedules while adapting to changing business needs.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, training, and performance feedback to support employee development and career growth.
- Develop, document, standardize, and continuously improve manufacturing and production processes.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to resolve production challenges and improve throughput, quality, and reliability.
- Identify process gaps, execute improvement initiatives, and implement validated solutions.
- Monitor operational metrics and communicate performance, risks, and corrective actions to leadership.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient manufacturing environment.
- Support equipment qualification, calibration programs, and preventative maintenance initiatives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Experience leading teams within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proven ability to develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership development program experience (GE OMLP or similar manufacturing leadership programs preferred).
- Experience supervising technicians or production personnel in high-volume or highly complex manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, Design of Experiments (DOE), or similar methodologies.
- Familiarity with production KPIs such as OEE, first-pass yield, throughput, and productivity metrics.
- Strong project management and prioritization capabilities.
- Experience creating and maintaining detailed process documentation and work instructions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving manufacturing environment and support off-shift or overtime requirements when necessary.

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary: $95,000 - $130,000+ DOE, plus shift differential
