Production Manager
Our client, a global leader in specialty chemical manufacturing, is seeking a Production Manager to lead safe, reliable, and cost-effective production operations at its Memphis, TN facility. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence across production and utilities while ensuring world-class performance in environmental health and safety, process safety, quality, workforce development, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership across production, utilities, safety, quality, and workforce performance initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional teams to achieve production targets, schedule attainment, asset reliability, and customer service objectives.
- Drive process safety management (PSM), risk mitigation, incident investigation, and management of change (MOC) processes.
- Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and EHS teams to optimize plant performance and operational efficiency.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield improvement, cost reduction, productivity gains, and reliability enhancement.
- Develop and coach supervisors and operators while building a high-performing, engaged, and accountable workforce.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
- 7+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably within a chemical processing environment.
- Strong knowledge of process control systems, industrial utilities, asset reliability, and manufacturing operations.
- Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM), Management of Change (MOC), ISO standards, and environmental, health, and safety compliance.
- Working knowledge of SAP and manufacturing performance management systems preferred.
