Production Supervisor
The Production Supervisor oversees and directs all manufacturing activities for a business unit, including the direct supervision of hourly employees. This role is accountable for the team's safety, product quality, and efficiency. The Production Supervisor plans and assigns tasks, enforces company policies and procedures, drives continuous improvement, and mentors and develops hourly employees.
Job Responsibilities
- Coach, teach, and supervise assigned personnel.
- Provide on-site leadership for project teams by building and motivating team members to meet project goals while adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
- Supervise manufacturing product line staff, including monitoring, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and appraising job performance.
- Promote a culture of safety in all activities. Investigate safety incidents or injuries and execute corrective actions promptly.
- Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
- Organize, prioritize, plan, and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet goals.
- Define and drive continuous improvement in the area to enhance business results and process repeatability.
- Create and manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with other supervisors to coordinate operations and labor activities between product lines as necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree
- A minimum of three years related experience in manufacturing or production
- Leadership Skills - training and developing employees
- Ability to develop new strategies
