Quality Engineer III
Location: Auburn, CA
Base Salary Range: $109,000 - $125,000
Join a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer known for producing highly engineered components that support critical aircraft and defense systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex products in a quality-driven environment where reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key quality resource supporting manufacturing, engineering, suppliers, and customers
- Lead investigations into product and process issues while driving long-term corrective actions
- Monitor quality performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and consistency
- Support audits, qualification efforts, and quality system initiatives within a regulated aerospace environment
- Review manufacturing and engineering changes to ensure quality requirements are maintained
- Drive continuous improvement projects using data, statistical analysis, and structured problem-solving techniques
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline
- 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience within aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environments
- Experience with APQP, AS9145, or similar product quality planning methodologies
- U.S. Person status required due to the nature of the products and programs supported
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
- Familiarity with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab
- Experience with process capability, mistake-proofing, and structured problem-solving methodologies
- ASQ Quality Engineer certification preferred
