Refrigeration Technician
One of our clients in the food manufacturing industry is looking to bring on a Refrigeration Technician to support their cutting-edge freeze-drying facility. This person will be responsible for maintaining and servicing refrigeration systems, while also supporting general maintenance.
Location: Allentown, PA
Shifts Available:
- Monday - Thursday 6am - 2pm
- Weekend 6am - 4pm
Compensation: $35-45/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, report, and follow up on any conditions that may affect team member safety, product quality, or food safety
- Diagnose issues, perform repairs, and conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on industrial refrigeration systems, HVAC units, building infrastructure, and utility systems
- Execute corrective maintenance on production equipment to reduce downtime and maintain operational efficiency
- Ensure all work orders-both planned and unplanned-are completed accurately and provide timely feedback to operators as needed
- Maintain detailed and accurate records to ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in refrigeration, including journeyman-level training, apprenticeship certification, or an equivalent combination of technical education and hands-on experience
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced troubleshooting of refrigeration systems
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical and refrigeration meters
- Possession of a valid U.S. EPA Universal Certification
- Basic understanding of instrumentation and control logic systems
