Regional Account Manager

This position is a true hunter‑style sales role focused on selling oils and lubricants across multiple industries, with emphasis on automotive, heavy‑duty, and hydraulic applications. The Lubricant Sales Specialist is responsible for developing new business within an assigned territory while also expanding product penetration within an existing customer base. The territory includes the Toledo, OH region and requires approximately three nights of travel per month.

Key responsibilities include meeting monthly growth targets, prospecting, conducting customer visits, attending internal sales/branch meetings, and maintaining consistent follow‑up with prospects and active accounts through in‑person interactions, phone outreach, and email communication.


Responsibilities

  • Generate new and profitable business opportunities through cold calling, networking, lead follow‑up, and expansion of existing customer relationships.
  • Conduct daily in‑person customer visits and prospecting activities across the assigned territory.
  • Meet or exceed monthly growth quotas and sales performance targets.
  • Develop sales plans and forecasts; track progress to ensure goals are achieved.
  • Create and deliver customer‑specific solutions leveraging the organization's full range of products and services.
  • Utilize CRM tools to document activities, manage the pipeline, and support growth initiatives.
  • Prepare information and documentation for customer requests, including pricing, project scope, margins, and profitability analysis.
  • Participate in required weekly travel, including occasional overnight trips.

Qualifications

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and make sound decisions in challenging situations.
  • Strong business acumen with excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM software.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably with a focus on industrial, automotive, or lubrication products.
