Regional Business Development Manager, Contract Logistics
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong background in Contract Logistics to drive business growth across the South China region. This role will focus on acquiring new customers, developing end‑to‑end logistics solutions, and expanding long‑term strategic partnerships across industries such as e‑commerce, FMCG, retail, manufacturing, and technology.
The successful candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with deep operational understanding to deliver customized warehousing and value‑added logistics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Growth
- Identify, develop, and secure new contract logistics opportunities across South China.
- Drive end‑to‑end sales cycles, including lead generation, solution design, proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline aligned with revenue and growth targets.
- Develop targeted go‑to‑market strategies for key industries and customers.
Solution Design & Customer Engagement
- Work closely with operations, engineering, and solution design teams to develop tailored contract logistics solutions (warehousing, distribution, VAS, fulfillment).
- Translate customer operational requirements into commercially viable logistics solutions.
- Lead customer presentations, workshops, and business reviews with decision‑makers.
Key Account & Relationship Management
- Establish strong relationships with C‑level stakeholders, supply chain leaders, and procurement teams.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, ensuring long‑term partnerships and contract renewals.
- Monitor market trends and customer needs to identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Track industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer supply chain developments in South China.
- Provide market insights and commercial input to support regional growth strategies.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional regional teams to support scalable business expansion.
Requirements
Experience & Background
- Minimum 8-12 years of experience in Business Development or Sales within Contract Logistics.
- Proven track record of winning and managing complex logistics solutions (warehousing, fulfillment, VAS, distribution).
- Strong understanding of logistics operations, cost structures, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Experience covering South China with an established customer and industry network.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong commercial negotiation and deal‑closing capabilities.
- Ability to balance commercial strategy with operational feasibility.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with experience in pricing models and financial evaluations.
