Position Overview
A well-established manufacturer of engineered systems is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead sales efforts for its life sciences and water purification product lines. This role focuses on serving clients in the pharmaceutical, bio-tech, personal care, and bottled water sectors. The manager will work directly with customers and may also oversee select agents or distributors within the territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a territory-specific sales strategy focused on value-driven solutions.
- Lead proposal development in collaboration with technical and applications teams.
- Deliver technical presentations to clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Manage sales activities including forecasting, CRM updates, and budget planning.
- Attend industry events and association meetings to generate new business leads.
- Monitor and control territory-related expenses including travel, trade shows, and promotional materials.
- Support marketing initiatives and contribute to strategic planning efforts.
- Maintain regular communication with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Travel frequently by car and air, including potential international trips.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience selling engineered systems, preferably to pharmaceutical or water process industries.
- Strong understanding of technical sales and proposal development.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport.
