About the Opportunity
A leading manufacturer of industrial piping and fluid handling solutions is seeking a Regional Trainer to support customers, contractors, distributors, installers, and end users throughout the Midwest region.
This highly visible, field-based role is ideal for a technical professional with hands-on experience in plastic piping systems, fusion technologies, solvent welding, installation practices, or industrial construction environments. The Regional Trainer serves as a subject matter expert, delivering technical training programs, certification courses, and customer education initiatives while partnering closely with sales, product management, and technical teams.
The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with exceptional presentation and communication skills, helping customers maximize product performance, installation quality, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Training & Education
- Deliver instructor-led training programs for contractors, distributors, installers, and end users.
- Conduct hands-on demonstrations related to plastic piping systems, fusion technologies, and installation best practices.
- Facilitate classroom, virtual, and jobsite-based training programs.
- Ensure all training sessions are delivered consistently and in accordance with established training standards.
- Support certification and qualification programs for trained personnel.
- Evaluate trainee performance through testing and practical assessments.
- Maintain accurate records regarding training completion, certifications, and credentialing requirements.
Program Development
- Assist in the creation of training videos, technical documentation, digital learning content, and e-learning initiatives.
- Collaborate with product management teams to continuously improve training materials and instructional programs.
- Identify opportunities to enhance training effectiveness and customer engagement.
- Provide feedback regarding product usability, installation challenges, and market needs.
Customer & Sales Support
- Partner closely with Area Sales Managers to identify and coordinate customer training opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors, distributors, consulting engineers, and end users.
- Serve as a trusted technical resource for customers throughout the territory.
- Support new product introductions and customer onboarding initiatives.
- Identify additional business opportunities while conducting field visits and training events.
