Reliability Manager - Corrugated Manufacturing | San Leandro, CA | ~$175K + Bonus
A leading national manufacturer in the corrugated packaging space is hiring a Reliability Manager to lead maintenance strategy and drive equipment uptime at their San Leandro, CA facility. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone passionate about safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence in a complex manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do:
- Build and execute a best-in-class predictive and preventive maintenance strategy
- Lead all plant maintenance functions - electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pipe fitting, and welding
- Partner closely with operations leaders to maximize equipment availability and meet customer demand
- Prioritize work orders to drive maximum value creation and machine uptime
- Coach, mentor, and hold the maintenance team accountable for safety, quality, and schedule adherence
- Own monthly maintenance budgets and spending targets
- Champion cultural and operational change with measurable results
What We're Looking For:
- Leadership experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment (military leadership also considered)
- Strong background in predictive/preventive maintenance program design and execution
- Working knowledge of PLCs, drives, servos, motors, and instrumentation
- Experience with CMMS platforms and financial/cost analysis
- Solid understanding of planning/scheduling, mechanical/electrical maintenance, and plant engineering
Bonus Points For:
- Corrugated, converting, or packaging industry experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Continuous improvement and project management background
Compensation: ~$175,000 base + variable bonus + full benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO, parental leave, educational assistance, and more).
