Rotating Equipment Engineer
Job Summary
A global manufacturing organization is seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer to enhance the reliability and performance of mechanical systems at a large-scale industrial site. This role centers on rotating machinery and supports broader mechanical integrity and reliability initiatives
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical expert for rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and blowers.
- Support maintenance and reliability teams with condition monitoring data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Ensure mechanical integrity compliance through documentation, audits, and procedure development.
- Lead root cause failure analyses and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Manage projects related to equipment upgrades, replacements, and installations.
- Review specifications for new equipment and recommend selections, including spare parts.
- Oversee predictive and preventive maintenance programs for critical assets.
- Assist with planning and execution of site shutdowns, turnarounds, and special projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
- Provide off-hours technical support for urgent mechanical issues as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in rotating equipment engineering within a heavy industrial or process manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of machinery diagnostics including vibration analysis, oil sampling, ultrasonic inspection, and thermography.
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms and standard engineering software.
- Knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME, ANSI, OSHA).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
