Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Sales to lead the commercial strategy for a growing food and beverage organization. This executive role will oversee all sales operations, manage a team of direct reports, and work closely with the C-suite to align sales initiatives with overall business objectives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving revenue growth, building high-performing teams, and expanding market share.


Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Leadership & Strategy
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
    • Identify new market opportunities and drive expansion into key channels (retail, foodservice, e-commerce).
  • Team Management
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales managers and account executives.
    • Set clear performance goals and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Executive Collaboration
    • Partner with the CEO, CFO, and other senior leaders to align sales objectives with corporate strategy.
    • Provide regular reporting and insights to the executive team on market trends, forecasts, and performance metrics.
  • Client & Market Development
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with major accounts, distributors, and strategic partners.
    • Negotiate high-value contracts and ensure long-term client satisfaction.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Oversee pricing strategies, promotional plans, and margin optimization.
    • Collaborate with marketing and operations to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in the food and beverage industry.
  • Proven success in managing multi-channel sales strategies (retail, foodservice, wholesale).
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence at the executive level.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
