Sales Inventory and Operations Planning Manager

A leading global manufacturer is seeking a SIOP Manager to lead the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning process across the organization. This individual will drive alignment between demand, supply, inventory, production capacity, and financial objectives while partnering closely with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Engineering leaders.

This is a highly visible role that serves as the bridge between commercial forecasts and operational execution, ensuring the business can meet customer demand while optimizing inventory, capacity, and overall performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate the monthly SIOP/S&OP process to align demand, supply, inventory, and business objectives.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to develop and refine demand forecasts based on customer trends and market conditions.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Production, and Supply Chain teams to ensure material availability and production capacity support forecasted demand.
  • Analyze supply-and-demand data to identify risks, constraints, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs related to forecast accuracy, inventory turns, service levels, capacity utilization, and operational performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across forecasting, inventory management, and production planning processes.
  • Lead cross-functional planning meetings and facilitate alignment among key stakeholders.
  • Support annual budgeting and financial planning activities through close partnership with Finance.
  • Enhance ERP/MRP planning processes and reporting capabilities to improve visibility and decision-making.
  • Prepare executive-level reports and recommendations to support business decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning, production planning, materials management, demand planning, or operations.
  • 3+ years of experience leading or owning a SIOP/S&OP, demand planning, supply planning, or integrated business planning process.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and supply chain planning tools.
  • Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Strong communication and executive presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations.
  • Strong knowledge of forecasting, inventory optimization, and capacity planning.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence initiatives.
