Sanitation Manager
Our client, a contract food manufacturing organization, is seeking a Sanitation Manager to lead sanitation operations at a large, highly automated production facility. This role is responsible for driving food safety, sanitation excellence, regulatory compliance, and employee development while supporting operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously improve the facility's sanitation and food safety programs.
- Manage sanitation teams, labor planning, scheduling, and employee development.
- Oversee sanitation processes, chemical programs, equipment cleaning, and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze performance metrics, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, environmental, and workplace safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of leadership experience in a food manufacturing sanitation environment.
- 5+ years of experience in wet and/or dry sanitation programs.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, FSMA, GMPs, and food safety systems.
- Proven ability to lead teams, develop employees, and drive accountability.
- Experience with continuous improvement, problem-solving, and performance management.
