Key Responsibilities:
- Develop deep expertise in processing operations to enable effective troubleshooting, robust process design, and reliable performance.
- Lead knowledge transfer and mentor junior engineers through root cause analyses, process optimization, and startup activities.
- Establish and maintain processing standards for current and future operations.
- Design processing systems and define equipment specifications to achieve optimal performance for commercial-scale manufacturing.
- Analyze production workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and waste; recommend and implement solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, minimize variation, and enhance product quality.
- Investigate failures using statistical methods and recommend design or process modifications.
- Build and maintain a network of internal and external experts to stay ahead of emerging technologies and best practices.
- Plan workflow, equipment placement, and space utilization to maximize manufacturing efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Aseptic Processing.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of processing equipment and instrumentation.
- Experience managing people and projects is preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 50% and work flexible hours as needed.
- Background in food-grade environments (FDA, GMP, HACCP).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing, kneeling, lifting up to 40 lbs, and walking throughout the plant.
- Comfortable working extended hours and using computer systems for prolonged periods.
