Senior Quality Technologist - Infant Toys
The Opportunity
As the Senior Quality Technologist - Infant Toys, you will serve as the quality and technical expert for nursery and infant products, partnering closely with suppliers, product development teams, third-party laboratories, and global stakeholders to ensure products consistently meet customer expectations and international safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead quality assurance activities across a range of nursery and infant products
- Manage product safety and compliance requirements for global markets, including Europe, UK, Australia, and Asia.
- Review product specifications, risk assessments, technical documentation, and testing protocols.
- Work closely with suppliers to improve manufacturing processes, product quality, and compliance performance.
- Conduct factory audits, quality assessments, root cause investigations, and corrective action programs.
- Monitor product testing activities and interpret laboratory reports against applicable standards and regulations.
- Lead failure analysis and product investigations, driving effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Provide technical guidance throughout product development, production, and commercialization stages.
- Partner with sourcing, merchandising, engineering, and product development teams to identify quality risks and implement preventative measures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the supplier network.
- Stay updated on evolving regulatory requirements, industry standards, and consumer safety expectations.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Product Safety, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in Quality Assurance, Product Safety, Compliance, or Technical Services.
- Strong experience with nursery, juvenile, infant, or baby products is essential.
- In-depth understanding of international product safety standards and testing requirements.
- Experience working within sourcing offices, buying offices, retailers, brands, testing laboratories, or manufacturing environments.
- Solid knowledge of quality systems, audit methodologies, and supplier quality management.
- Proven track record managing factory quality improvements and resolving complex product quality issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel within Asia to support suppliers and manufacturing partners.
- Fluency of English and Chinese is required, only candidates with HKID are connsidered.
