Senior Sourcing Expert

Role

We are partnering with a leading multinational chemical company to identify a Senior Sourcing Expert who will play a key role in driving strategic sourcing initiatives across the Nutrition, Food Ingredients, and Specialty Chemicals portfolio. This position will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, optimizing costs, and supporting business growth across regional markets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives, innovation goals, and commercial priorities.
  • Manage regional and global suppliers for nutrition, food ingredient, and chemical categories, ensuring supply continuity, quality, and competitiveness.
  • Lead supplier negotiations, contract management, and cost optimization initiatives to deliver sustainable savings.
  • Conduct market intelligence and raw material analysis to identify opportunities, risks, and industry trends.
  • Drive supplier performance management through KPI tracking, reviews, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Support risk mitigation strategies, supplier diversification, and supply chain resilience initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Commercial, R&D, Product Management, Finance, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to support new product development and business expansion.
  • Identify new sourcing opportunities that contribute to innovation, profitability, and long-term business growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of strategic sourcing/procurement experience, managing significant annual spend independently.
  • Strong experience in Nutrition, Food Ingredients, Flavors & Fragrances, Food Additives, Functional Ingredients, Specialty Chemicals, or related categories.
  • Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, cost analysis, and category management.
  • Strong understanding of raw material markets, supply-demand dynamics, and procurement best practices within the food and nutrition industry.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders in regional or multinational environments.
  • Commercially minded, analytical, and capable of identifying opportunities that support both cost optimization and business growth.
  • Exposure to Southeast Asian markets and regional supplier networks would be highly advantageous.
