Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite/Hybrid)
Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000 Base Salary
About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a growing medical device manufacturer in the Charlotte area seeking a Senior Buyer to support strategic sourcing and procurement activities across a regulated manufacturing environment. This individual will play a key role in supplier management, cost reduction initiatives, contract negotiations, and ensuring continuity of supply for critical components and materials.
Responsibilities
- Manage procurement activities for direct and indirect materials.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships to drive quality, delivery, and cost performance.
- Lead sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
- Support inventory optimization and supply continuity efforts.
- Partner closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure procurement processes align with quality and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of purchasing, procurement, or sourcing experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Medical device manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Experience working within ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 certified environments is required.
- Strong supplier negotiation and strategic sourcing experience.
- Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Background
- Medical device, life sciences, healthcare manufacturing, precision manufacturing, or highly regulated industry experience.
- Proven track record of driving cost savings and supplier performance improvements.
- Experience supporting quality-focused manufacturing operations.
