Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support new product introductions, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This individual will work closely with operations, quality, and product development teams to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure successful product launches.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing engineering efforts for new product development, including process design, tooling, fixtures, and production readiness.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Manage capital equipment projects from justification through implementation.
- Provide technical support for machining, fabrication, assembly, and testing operations.
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, process controls, and production standards.
- Evaluate new technologies and equipment to enhance manufacturing performance and competitiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
- Experience with new product introduction (NPI) and stage-gate product development processes.
- Strong CAD and tooling/fixture design experience.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma principles.
- Experience with injection molding and injection mold tooling is required.
- Proven ability to lead capital projects and drive process improvements.
- Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
