Compensation: $110,000 - $145,000 + 15% bonus

The Atlanta facility is seeking a skilled Senior Process Controls Engineer to support automation initiatives, optimize control systems, and enhance process reliability across the site. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC, DCS (Honeywell Experion), and HMI systems
  • Support daily operations by resolving control system issues and improving process stability.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to implement automation solutions.
  • Lead or support capital projects involving control system upgrades and expansions.
  • Maintain and update control documentation, including P&IDs, loop diagrams, and system architecture.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Root Cause Analysis tools.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to improve process efficiency and data visibility.
  • Provide technical training and support to operations and maintenance personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Controls Engineering - Required
  • 5+ years of experience in process control engineering within a chemical, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming, DCS configuration, and HMI development.
  • Experience with instrumentation, control loop tuning, and data acquisition systems.
  • Familiarity with ISA standards, NFPA, and process safety systems.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Experience with OSIsoft PI, SCADA, or MES systems is a plus.
