Base Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000 + annual bonus
SUMMARY
Are you ready to elevate your career in the paper industry as a Senior Project Engineer? We are partnered with a leading paper manufacturer, located in Richmond VA, that is seeking a dedicated professional to lead both internal projects and large-scale initiatives with budgets exceeding $5M.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in the planning and execution of capital projects.
- Oversee initial design phases, team selection, and project scope development.
- Manage the selection, procurement, installation, and commissioning of equipment and systems.
- Develop and monitor project budgets and schedules.
- Implement and manage change plans.
- Coordinate and manage external consultants and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
- Uphold company standards by adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Oversee projects during scheduled maintenance outages.
- Provide technical assistance to maintenance and engineering staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical -preferred)
- Experience in the paper and pulp industry (preferred).
- Min 5 years of experience of independently leading capex projects from start to finish
- Strong communication skills
