Supplier Developer (M/F/D)
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supplier Developer to join our team and support a key client in the automotive sector. This role focuses on the development and management of suppliers specialising in castings and mechanical components, ensuring quality, delivery, and performance standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and a deep understanding of automotive manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead supplier development activities for castings and mechanical components, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards.
- Implement and manage APQP processes across the supplier base, from concept through to production.
- Conduct supplier audits, capability assessments, and risk evaluations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, and procurement to resolve technical and quality issues.
- Support suppliers in continuous improvement initiatives and corrective action plans.
- Monitor supplier performance metrics and drive improvements in quality, cost, and delivery.
- Ensure compliance with automotive standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
- Facilitate technical reviews and support PPAP submissions.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in supplier development within the automotive industry, specifically with castings and mechanical components.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and control plans.
- Familiarity with automotive quality standards and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both English and German.
- Willingness to travel within Europe as required.
