Compensation: $170,000 - $190,000 Base + Bonus
We are partnering with a leading industrial manufacturer seeking a Director of Supply Chain to lead end-to-end supply chain strategy across procurement, planning, inventory, materials management, and Integrated Business Planning (IBP). This leader will be responsible for building a best-in-class planning process, developing strategic supplier partnerships, improving forecast accuracy, and driving operational and financial performance across a complex manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead the company's Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, partnering closely with Operations, Finance, Sales, and Executive Leadership.
- Develop and manage demand, supply, inventory, and financial forecasts to support business objectives and improve decision-making.
- Lead strategic sourcing and procurement activities, including supplier negotiations, long-term agreements, and supplier performance management.
- Drive inventory optimization and materials management strategies while maintaining high service levels and production continuity.
- Oversee MRP-driven planning processes and ensure material availability across manufacturing operations.
- Partner with manufacturing leadership to align supply chain strategy with production requirements and capacity planning.
- Establish and track KPIs related to forecast accuracy, inventory turns, supplier performance, working capital, and customer service.
- Lead and develop teams across procurement, planning, inventory control, and materials management.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain processes and systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience within industrial manufacturing environments.
- Proven success leading IBP/S&OP processes and driving cross-functional business alignment.
- Strong financial acumen with experience connecting operational plans to budgeting, forecasting, and business performance.
- Deep expertise in procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and long-term supplier relationship management.
- Extensive experience with MRP systems, inventory management, production planning, and materials management.
- Demonstrated success optimizing inventory, working capital, and forecast accuracy.
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations involving steel, iron, castings, forgings, machined components, or other heavy industrial products.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing supply chain teams.
