Supply Chain Manager
Our chemical manufacturing client is hiring a Supply Chain Manager to own end-to-end supply chain execution across the Americas. The role is the central control point for the region. It connects supply planning, manufacturing sites, warehouses, and logistics providers so the business gets optimized inventory, strong service levels, and consistent performance.
You will join a global supply chain organization during a major Kinaxis implementation. This is a chance to shape how planning is done across the region.
What You'll Do
- Lead supply planning and S&OP execution across the Americas, keeping demand and supply aligned and plans operationally achievable
- Review and validate demand forecasts so supply planning starts from an accurate, actionable foundation
- Turn demand into a supply plan, and supply into the right inventory position
- Lead, coach, and develop a regional team of supply planners and a logistics leader, with a focus on accountability and consistent execution across sites
- Own escalation governance for supply chain execution: set priorities, align stakeholders, and drive issues to closure
- Set and manage inventory targets by plant, find gaps, and drive corrective actions against budget, inventory, and service goals
- Own OTIF performance, backlog management, and root-cause resolution of service failures
- Oversee logistics, transportation, warehousing, and 3PL/4PL provider performance against service and cost targets
- Run weekly and monthly execution reviews that feed real-time performance into S&OP and KPI management
- Partner with site leaders, commercial, manufacturing, and global supply chain peers, and work effectively with leadership up to the VP level
- Support the Kinaxis rollout and adoption across the region
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations
- Proven experience leading a team of direct reports, ideally across multiple sites or functions
- Kinaxis experience strongly preferred; implementation experience is a big plus
- Strong SAP experience (ECC or S/4HANA; MM, WM, PP, SD modules)
- Track record in inventory optimization, material flow, and distribution network performance
- Experience managing 3PL/4PL partners and logistics execution
- Knowledge of chemical regulatory logistics (dangerous goods, compliance)
- A mix of planning and logistics experience
- Ability to gain buy-in, lead by influence, and roll up your sleeves in a cross-functional setting
Preferred
- Experience in chemicals, coatings, or manufacturing (strong skills matter more than industry background)
- MBA or MSc in Supply Chain/Operations
- APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP, CIPS, or similar certification
- Demand planning and forecasting experience
- Lean/Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher)
- Project management training (PMP, Prince2)
